Christmas in the Park
The Parks & Recreation Boards annual Christmas in the Park Event has been held for the past 5 years. The ever growing and developing event showcases over 150 trees throughout the Lehighton Upper and Lower Park.
Residents, Businesses and Community Organizations can adopt a tree for a monetary donation and decorate them in their own style and theme. All trees are illuminated throughout the month of December into January. The parks become a winter wonderland and strolling through to take in the beauty is an annual must-do.
The Tree Lighting Ceremony is one of Lehighton’s most anticipated evenings and one not to miss.
2021 Timeline:
- October 1- Previous years Tree Adoptees will receive their invitation to adopt for 2021
- October 17- Remaining trees will become available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Forms can be found at; Lehighton Municipal Building, Jenny’s Sweets & More on 1st Street and Old Tyme Corner Store at 7th and Mahoning Streets.
- December 3, 4, 5- Trees Decorating
- December 5- Tree Lighting Ceremony
