Vacancy Board

At the annual reorganization meeting, Borough Council appoints a registered elector of the Borough to serve on the Vacancy Board. In the event of a vacancy in an elected position, Borough Council is responsible for appointing a new official within 30 days of the vacancy.  If an appointment is not made, an additional 15 days is granted for the vacancy board to fill the appointment. The Board shall consist of the Mayor and a registered elector of the Borough.
