PMEA
The Borough of Lehighton is a proud member of PMEA and the Borough Manager serves on the PMEA Board of Directors. PMEA is an association of Pennsylvania boroughs that deliver electric power to our residents. We believe that there are three key elements to being a successful public power system: local control, reliability, and positive community impact. Residents of boroughs served by public power systems are able to exercise far more control over their electric service provider than those served by large utilities, and they know that in the event of outages, the response will be timely since it will be coordinated locally. Most importantly, we believe in being responsible members of the communities we serve. Our employees are part of the communities they serve, and are extraordinarily dedicated to providing the highest levels of service to their neighbors.
