Street sweeping schedule.

1st St./ Bankway-Every Wednesday begining in March to November -- check signs for times. All other Streets will be posted with ORANGE NO PARKING SIGNS and will be cleaned the next day after posting weather permitting.

Please watch out for our work crew repairing, crack sealing of street and painting of street markings through out the year.

Please give them a brake, slow down, obey signs and always think of them like a family member.

Help us give you a smooth ride please drop a note on any pot holes, loose or bad signs! We will make repairs as soon as possible!

FALL LEAF PICK UP

Leaf pick up will begin on the 1st of November and end on the 30th. Minus the Thanksgiving Holliday weather permitting.

Again please watch out for our workers.

Please place leaves in the gutters, also remember rain storms can wash leaves onto our storm drains. If rain is forcast please wait till the next day to deposit the leaves in the gutter also hold small piles back until you have 2 or 3 garbage cans full. This will help us be more efficent in doing our job.

Street Sweeping

     The Borough of Lehighton will be
     street sweeping every Wednesday
     on 1st Street beginning
     March 6, 2013 until
     November 27, 2013. 1st Street
     is posted with signs stating times
     street sweeping will occur. The
     rest of the borough will have
     orange "No Parking" signs posted
     as we go from street to street.
     One side of the street will be
     posted at a time.
     
     Residents are asked to move
     their cars across the street
     or another street until the
     posted side of the street
     has been swept. Signs will
     then be moved to the opposite
     side of the street for the
     following day.

Property Maintenance Board,
    Vacancy Board, Zoning Hearing
    Board, & the Police Civil
    Service Commision Seats Open
    There is currently vacancies
    on the Property Maintenance
    Board, Vacancy Board, Zoning
    Hearing Board, & 2 on the Police
    Civil Service Commision.

    Letters of interest can be
    submitted in the Borough
    Secretary's office.
